She has served in ministry impacting the lives of women for nearly 45 years. She also has a heart for young people and is known as a committed, compassionate and perceptive counselor, mentor and "spiritual mother" to many.
In 1982, she founded Fashioned In His Image (FIHI) as the women’s ministry of Born Again Church. FIHI provides outreach, mentorship, support services and programs, like My Sister’s Keeper and Operation We Care, to hundreds of women, teen girls, and families throughout Nashville and surrounding counties in Tennessee. The mission is to empower women and girls to be healthy and productive by applying Christian principles to everyday living.

Kristy has also had the privilege of adding value to other agents through various organizational roles such as a coach, managing broker and regional broker coordinator for various real estate companies.
Kristy has served in various leadership roles within the National Association of Realtor association, most recently serving as Co-Chair of the 2019 NAR Annual Conference. Kristy was honored to be voted Tennessee Realtors' 2018 Educator of the Year. Kristy currently serves her local association as the Past-President of the Greater Nashville Realtors.
Kristy volunteers within her community by serving as a board member for the Northwest YMCA and Habitat for Humanity Nashville. She is also a member of CABLE and Nashville Rotary.

She met and married the love of her life, Horace Hockett, II, at their alma mater, Tennessee State University. They have worked and served together for over 20 years at Born Again Church, where Horace’s parents, Bishop Horace and Kiwanis Hockett are pastors.
